WinNT/2000/XP/2003 are supported. Win98/Me are no longer supported.

Crashes or Run-time errors

Usually error messages and crashes are caused by missing DLLs or incorrect versions of DLLs. The first step is to get the latest, from the Support Files area. You will need the MFC and VB Runtime files. The CAB file can be opened with a program such as Winzip. Reboot after installing.

If you are having strange crashes with any DLLs, it may be because of the updated MFC and VB DLLs since SP5. Please download and install them from the support page before sending any bug reports.

Run-time error '7': Out of memory.

Run-time error '48': Error in loading DLL 'KanastaCorpUtils.dll'.

Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object.

Run-time error '430': Class doesn't support Automation or does not support expected interface.

DLL or File Missing Errors

If available, download the full version of the install program to ensure you have all the required support files.

For programs without install programs, you may need the VB runtimes or MFC DLLs which can be obtained above.

Please also note that newer versions of KanastaCorp support files may not work with older versions of programs. You must use the same version that was released with the program.

COMCTL32.OCX Errors

KanastaCorp programs require COMCTL32.DLL version 4.72 or later to run properly. If you get an error message about having the wrong version of COMCTL32.OCX, the problem may actually be that your version of COMCTL32.DLL is an older version. You can download the correct version from the Support Files area.

Unexplained Errors

If a program was running well, then one day it stops working, then consider this. If you have installed a new program, that program may have replaced some standard files with older version. Or, if you have had some disc errors then some of your files may have been corrupted. In both cases, please uninstall then reinstall a full version of the program. This will restore any files to the newest versions.
